WM6 for T-Mobile Dash

I have been running the official version for a few days now and I have to say that it is very stable and works well. It is a lot better than the beta version that was out there.

There are some additional app’s that are included in the ROM and the overall upgrade takes about 10 minutes. That is not to bad.

The upgrade should be out shortly, rumor has it, end of the week. If your interested in being an early adopter and are familiar with some of the sites that cater to Smartphone’s you should be able to find it without any problem.

Wii in the house

We have wanted to get a Wii for some time now and at least up here in the Northeast it has been very hard to get. Well that all changed today. We got the inside scoop that Target was going to be getting some this  morning so we headed out to Target and received the 8th ticket to get one. We bought the unit, extra controllers, and a few games. Well I decided to go back to get another game and they had 1 Wii left so I bought that one too!

So taking a page out of the Dave Ciccone playbook I now have an extra Wii that I will be putting up for sale.

Bose QuietComfort 3 Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones

I recently reviewed the Bose TriPort IE headphones a while back. I really enjoy using them but with all of the flying that I do I wanted something a little better to cancel out the ambient noise that is prevalent on an airplane.

I recently purchased the Bose QuietComfort 3 headphones and I have to tell you that these are incredible! I recently spent 3 weeks on the road and was able to put these to the test.

First of all the sound quality is great! These sound as good as my high end home stereo with full range of sound. It is hard to describe the experience but when listening to some of my classical music it sounds as if the orchestra was in the same room as me.

As far as the noise canceling is concerned the QC3 is amazing. I did not hear any of the other passengers talking and there was practically no engine noise. These are so good at blocking the sound that I have  even used these without my iPod just so I could block out the noise on the plane and get some sleep. If you choose to use the headphones for this the cord is removable so you don’t have to worry about any wires getting in the way. On the flip side if you find that you need a longer cord a 5′ extension cord is included.

Setup is easy. The removable rechargeable battery should be charged before using. Bose recommends charging the battery at least two hours before using the headphones.  Bose includes a nice compact charger that the battery snaps into to charge. This is a nice feature especially if you want to purchase an extra battery for continuous use. However, the battery is supposed to last approximately 20 hours and I can honestly say I was able to use the QC3 for my cross country fight, both ways, without having to charge the headphones. Another nice feature is the low battery-life indicator. The On/Off light flashes when approximately four hours of battery life remain.

The QC3 is made very well and they are durable. The headphones comes with a hard case that is molded and padded to the exact size of the headphones so they are well protected. I had no problems throwing these into my backpack with all of the other gear I travel with. The other bonus is that the case also holds the cords, batteries, and charger. So everything is all together and neatly stored.

If you are familiar with the QC2 the QC3 are basically the same headphones with the only difference being that these are on ear headphones as opposed to over the ear headphones.

I have always been impressed with Bose products and the QC3 is no exception. The QC3 delivers excellent sound and are very comfortable to wear.  The QC3 retails for $349.00 and they are worth every penny.

They are available through the Bose website and other retailers.

Sox Beat Yankees once again

The Red Sox took game one in the Bronx last night 11-4. I know it is a lot to ask but it would be great to sweep them once again in New York!

Go Sox!!!

Stong sales of Macs, iPods have Apple Dancing

Yahoo news reports that Apple’s  profit jumped 88% on strong sales of its flagship iPod music players and Mac computers, propelling its shares above $100 in after-hours trading Wednesday.

Mac shipments jumped 36%, to 1.5 million – three times the industry growth rate, Apple CEO Steve Jobs said in a statement.

It will be interesting to see how much more profitable Apple will be after the launch of the iPhone in June.

Shipments of iPods soared 24%, to 10.5 million, in the quarter. So let me get this right, if shipments went up 24% on just the iPod imagine what they will do with the iPhone.

I bet Apple will be laughing all the way to the bank. Wouldn’t you say so Jackie? The iPhone is going to be HUGE!

I hope VaJa is making a case for it.
